AFFORDABLE HOUSING – ORMISTON, EAST LOTHAIN COUNCIL  

Commissioned by East Lothian Council, the project delivers 37 affordable homes, comprising a mix of large family houses, smaller flats, and wheelchair-accessible bungalows.

The site sits adjacent to a Walker Group development, with new linking roads providing seamless integration between the two areas. Homes are arranged to face inward, focusing on a centralised public space, while rear gardens either address one another or overlook the neighbouring open field.

A pedestrian-friendly network of routes has been developed to enhance permeability and strengthen connections to the surrounding countryside. Multiple footpath links connect the site to the Walker Group development, Tynemount Road, and the existing track along the western boundary.
